At 15:30 CET today, the Georgian national final will start. A 50/50 combination of a jury vote and televoting will decide which one of the nine candidates will be flying the Georgian flag in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, to take place in neighbouring Azerbaijan. After one week full of entertainment at the Sanremo Festival, it was time during the final tonight to announce which of the participants will be waving the Italian flag in Baku. The honour fell on Nina Zilli!!!

Three further acts have qualified to the final of the Lithanian national selection after the third Semi-Final took place tonight.

The national selection process, Eesti Laul 2012 got under way this evening in Estonia with the first semi final taking place. Five acts have qualified and put themselves one step closer to becoming the Estonian representative in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.

Off to the heart of Sweden tonight, Dalarna, for the third semi-final of Melodifestivalen in the town of Leksand. Eight new songs were performed for the viewers at home to decide which two are worth to be seen again in the final on the 10th of March: Molly Sandén and Björn Ranelid feat. Sara Li.

During a special show this evening, Nina Badrić tonight performed for the first time the Croatian entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Nebo. She wrote and composed the song herself.

The final of Eirodziesma 2012, the Latvian national final has just ended. After a ten song final, followed by a three song super final, it was Anmary who emerged victorious with Beautiful Song.

In today’s show, 21 artists competed for the honour to represent their country in Baku. Among different types of music from ballad to rock, the TV viewers and the expert jury chose the most modern one. It’s Be My Guest sung by a woman with a strong and convincing voice: Gaitana!
